Dogs are considered prepared for practical use in drug search activities if they meet the following requirements:

They can clearly work on the smells of drugs in their wide quantitative and qualitative ranges, without reacting to various random smells;

They can actively and interestedly conduct a search of the area and premises, overcoming the obstacles encountered without additional commands;

They are able to find, bring and serve drugs hidden in the searched area in various containers and packaging;

They can signal the discovery of drugs on a person by barking, scratching at objects that cannot be retrieved, and jumping on objects and things that are at an insurmountable height;

They are indifferent to strangers and animals;
They do not take food from the hands of strangers, and do not pick up food that is thrown to them or found during work;

They can easily be transported by various types of transport.
