The Saint Bernard is used to search and rescue people in snowdrifts, during avalanches, and also during earthquakes and fires. The breed's name comes from the Augustinian monastery. Saint Bernards are loyal and very obedient dogs. They love people and are very gentle and careful with children.
The Saint Bernards make loyal friends, wonderful watchdogs, and first-class nannies. Height ranges from 65 to 90 cm and weights no less than 70 kg.
