The Mackenzie River Husky is a descendant of large draft dogs, who lived along the banks of the Mackenzie River. By World War II, the breed was virtually lost, but it was revived after the war. Mackenzie River Huskies are used not only in sled dog teams but are also trained for police and rescue services. These dogs are very strong and resilient, easily trained, intelligent, and have a very thick coat. Height 50-60 cm. Weight 25-35 kg.
