The Chinook is a rare breed of sled dog developed in the United States in the early 20th century. These dogs are capable of moving quickly and carrying heavy loads. Chinooks are not recognized by any kennel club. Since 2009, the breed has been the state dog of New Hampshire (USA). These dogs can work in extreme cold. Dogs with different personalities were used in the development of the breed, giving the Chinook excellent working qualities. The Chinook is the smallest breed, with no more than five hundred individuals worldwide. Chinooks, like true northerners, are calm, even-tempered, and very friendly. Height: 53-68 cm. Weight: 30-40 kg.
