The Kolyma Laika is an aboriginal breed common along the banks of the Kolyma River and its tributaries. Its legs are relatively thick and short; its chest, used for pulling the sled, is well developed; its neck is thick and short. Its muzzle is unusually cunning, with a melancholic or sullen expression. Height is 55-60 cm. Weight is 35-40 kg.
