The Nenets Herding Laika, or Reindeer Spitz, is an aboriginal dog breed that developed in the European tundra-steppe during the last Ice Age and, after the glaciers retreated, spread across the tundra and forest-tundra of Eurasia. Due to its long isolation, the Nenets Laika avoided crossbreeding with other breeds for a long time. Height: 40-50 cm. Weight: 20-25 kg.
