By Order No. 1089 of the Revolutionary Military Council of August 23, 1924, the Central Training and Experimental Kennel and School for Military and Sporting Dogs was established at the Higher Rifle and Tactical School. This order marked the beginning of the organization of military dog breeding in the Red Army.
