Dogs can easily learn many complex tricks.
They are extremely agile and jump high, so jumping over barriers, through hoops, over each other, and so on, plays a significant role in their performances. Complex somersaults, such as saltos, are easy for dogs to perform. They perform them with obvious pleasure, at a fast pace, and many times in a row. Dogs quickly master the front paw stand. They not only walk in this position along the barrier but also engage in acrobatic tricks. For example, they perform a front paw stand on the trainer's hands or on their head. An entire act, «Acrobat Dogs,» is based on such tricks, including a one-paw stand on the trainer's outstretched toe.
