Vsevolod Georgievich Golubev (1900-1949) was a talented trainer and experimenter. In 1934, he trained dogs for chemical reconnaissance and airborne (sabotage) service, in 1940, mine detection dogs, and in 1944, guard dogs for the reconnaissance service. He developed and improved a pack for tank destroyer dogs. During the Finnish War, he was the first to test the effectiveness of sled teams. He participated in the demining of Stalingrad, Vienna, and Prague.
